Nuclear receptors workshop

הודעהעל ידי physics » 12:23 14/06/2010

Dear Colleagues and students,

During August 1-6, 2010, The Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS) will hold a Summer Workshop on “Nuclear Receptors and Gene Regulation” under the directorship of Roger Kornberg, Yossi Orly, Yoav Sharoni and Haim Werner. Attached please see the meeting announcement poster and the almost final program.

Also, on-line Registration Form and a detailed program updates with the talk titles, will be posted in the IAS meeting site

As shown in the workshop poster, Nobel Laureates, Lasker Prize winners and renowned world-leaders who established the field of gene regulation by nuclear receptors and chromatin structure, kindly agreed to come and share with us their groundbreaking findings and portray how the their studies evolved.

Senior investigators who wish to attend all, or some, of the lectures are requested to register, noting if they plan to attend part of the lectures. Students are encouraged to enroll for the entire workshop; HUJI approves 2-3 credit points (without or with poster presentation) to Master and PhD students, and other universities are welcome to approve such credit to their students, based on a diploma certificate that will be given to actively participating students. As noted in the Poster, students enrolling to the course must register ahead of time and pay150 NIS upon their arrival on the first day; others that wish to come sporadically are welcome to do so too (please register, noting which lectures you plan to attend).

Please forward questions regarding registration and housing to Shani Freiman:

Beside the daily lecture program, all participants are invited to unique cultural events and dinners we plan to have during four of the five nights of the meeting- please note in the program events.

We wish to welcome your participation in the third and last workshop of this series on nuclear structure and function.
