Interaction energy

When asked for the "Interaction Energy" (due to the fields) between 2 bodies, what fields do I have to take into account? Do I sum up on all space, or just a part?
For example, in problem 8.1 I am asked for this in a case where a small charged sphere is placed inside a larger charged one.

Interaction energy is the part which is due to the presence of both. If you remove one of the bodies the energy will be that of the second. If you remove the second, the energy will be that of the first. Total energy minus the energy of the first only minus the energy of the second only is the interaction energy. You should find out yourself the way of calculating it
